Bobcat hunting question

I was in the stand early in the morning last week and didnt see a single deer. After a while I happened to look down and there was a bobcat right under me moving quickly through some really thick stuff. I was too slow on the draw and couldn't get a shot off. I would LOVE to have a bobcat mount in the house.

Do bobcats usually hunt the same area generally? Should I set up in the exact same spot? This was a creek bottom with really thick stuff all in it and a few clearings for trails. What do you guys suggest I do to get him back?

I am going to be able to hunt Wednesday of next week for the last time of the season in this particular WMA so that would really be my last chance. I would love to up my odds of seeing him again and getting a shot. What do you guys think I should do?

I have also not seen enough in Weddington to devote hunting to it, more of just a luck thing. I do know where this is one bobcat, there are more, as they are cat litters, but usually only one or two dominant males prowling the area with the numerous females. Your best bet is probably setting up in that same spot and staying very still though.

Yeah, this guy was in a deep creek bottom filled with thick stuff. No way I could have walked through. I set up in a tall tree right on the edge of the bottom where the thick stuff just started. He walked right along the edge right under my tree.

I want to get this guy!

I can't take a 22 where I hunt. Its archery only or shotgun with shot no larger than T.

I am tempted to take my shotgun if I see him in the thick stuff and can't get a shot with my bow, but at the same time I'm worried about messing him up so badly that I can't get a good mount done.

What do y'all think? I've got a call and I've got a stuffed rabbit I am going to have bouncing around in the leaves (tied with fishing line to a limb above) to get him curious enough to come in. I'm thinking bow...

Killed two with a bow and one with a gun actually let one walk one time - stick to the bow and forget about him - til he shows up then let him have it . If you really want him there is a guy on the trapping thread goes by fisherman - dude catches more cats in traps than you can shake a stick at
