All the old timers I grew up around said they thought all the farm chemicals killed them in area. They told me all the stories you could go down just about any bayou or creek and have a whole ice chest full in just a couple bends or so.There still a few decent pockets of frogs here and there. But last few times I went it took most of the night just to get a mess.We just go to buffet now.Not quite as tasty as wild frogs but a lot cheaper than burning gas driving around all night and losing lots of sleep.

True story...so don't laugh ..all the seafood Buffet's before the war Named Dessert Storm had huge froglegs ...I asked a lady that ran the restaurant and she said an embargo on India had stopped allowing the frog legs in the country

In the mid 80s, my little 73 Datsun pu was sideways on about 30 degree grade with my face a few feet off of one of Anderson's minnow ponds. Of course we did not have permission to be there! That little truck was so light we were able to push it back up on top of the levy. I never trespassed out there again!

I have also never been. We did hear this one the other night while catfishing. The land we caught it near was next to rice fields. I figure a feller could float a stretch of the river that boarders fields and listen for them. We let him go, just had to do a picture pose with him.
