2005 Xpress 1546 DB with galvanized trailer and 2008 Yamaha 25 hp, 2-stroke, electric start, short shaft outboat. Here's the skinny on this rig: I bought the boat/trailer in 2008 from the original owner. It came with a 25 Mercury, which I sold, and shortly thereafter I put the Yamaha on it. I've had this rig in the water probably 15 - 20 times since I bought it. Been so busy with all the stuff my kids are doing, I just never had much time to use this boat like I thought I would. Now, however, my son is older and he wants a rig to take out on his own, but I want him to have something just a little larger as some of the lakes we hunt can get pretty nasty in the winter. The rig has been garage kept its entire life. I have a customized, Avery break-up camo blind for it, which I plan to keep, but I can also include it in the deal for an additional cost.

The Boat: This boat has open floor plan and the seat pods, which you can't get anymore. The open floor plan gives you more floor space than the newer model Xpress boats. The interior is painted and coated with factory spray in liner. There is a lockable gun box with built in rod holders. There is one marine battery mounted in the back. The boat has USCG marker lights, two cigarette lighter plugs, a trolling motor plug in the front, and several LED lights mounted under the gunnels, which are great for pre-dawn set-ups and night fishing. The all lights are controlled by switches mounted in the back near the seat. There is a 3-gallon gas tank mounted on the front drop down deck for better weight distribution and to give me more room in the back. There is a storage compartment under the front deck, and a front seat bracket on the drop-down deck. Tempress camo boat seat, and a "Tugger" handle mounted on the bow. This handle is great for pulling boat through shallow areas or up on banks. I mounted a board across the drop down deck to help keep gear stored on the front from bouncing back into the floor when traveling through rough water. Hull is all-welded and solid (no leaks). I'll also throw in a Garmin color Fish Finder with this deal.

The Trailer: Galvanized with 4.80-12 tires and includes a spare. Bearing buddies on both wheels.

The Motor: This is the sweetest part of this deal. I bought it new in 2008, which was the year before Yamaha quit making 2-stroke engines. As I said above, I've only had this rig out about 20 times since I've had it, and most of them have been short runs. I HAVE JUST FINISHED THE 10-HOUR BREAK-IN PERIOD ON THIS ENGINE. The motor still has the factory prop on it and it is essentially a brand new engine. I put synthetic oil in the foot, and run premium gas in it. The motor has a shallow drive feature, starts like a dream. With no performance adjustments at all, my GPS says it will push me and my dog around 29 mph. I'm sure with a jack plate and a performance prop you could get more mph out of her.

Asking price on this rig is $6100 OBO. If you live in the mid-west and think NC is too far to drive, you are in luck as I will be hauling this rig to Kansas the first week in December and would be happy to meet someone on my way back for pick-up. I will probably be headed back the weekend of December 15/16th, so I could meet someone in eastern TN, western KY, southern IL, anywhere off I-70 in MO, or just about anywhere on the eastern side of KS. Would make a fine timber boat for you AR hunters. If you want more info or additional pics, send me a PM or you can email me at: backcreek @ bellsouth.net.
