Look at the Pontiac G6. I was given one the other day because they wouldn't give the owner hardly anything for trade in. I've been using it to run around showing rent houses and it gets a steady 33 MPG. Make sure you get a 4 door. The back has plenty of room but it's hard to get to with 2 doors. Also the back seats lay down and I can haul 10 ft trim with no problem.
