I love the fit & finish on old firearms. Getting ready to check the zero on these two before a cool spell hits & I get the urge for squirrel & gravy on a biscuit.

1952 Marlin 39A & 1958 Winchester 63

Anyone else share a pic of old .22s???

I have an old Winchester model 77 (tube fed) and an old Savage 340 in 22Hornet. Both are Walnut and steel. IIRC that Winchester is over 70 years old. It was grandpas rifle, so it sits in the cabinet most of the time. Mrs Weld likes to shoot it when we are plinking. It has ironsights and is accurate. The charging handle is on the left side and will thump your thumb good if you get it in the way. You will only do it once! One day I will sell the thing to someone who loves Winchester rifles. I have to wait till my MIL goes on to be with the Lord...

I cleaned it some. The gun was actually cleaner than I expected it to be.
I did have some issues and had to get a few spent casings from the chamber with a knife, but when I put the Winchester’s up and switched to CCI that issue went away.
