I'm a Summit man but decided to give the Gorilla a try. This is a GREAT stand. It is absolutely silent, very light, packs up flat, and is rock steady.

I spent 20 hrs in it this week and was very comfortable. It has a back to the seat that I leave up in the tree. If I was packing in everyday I would leave the seat back at home. The stand is very well thought out. The feet stirrups are located on the side so there is nothing on the platform and no ropes to try to get your boots in. There are two nice ratchet straps that are tucked away but can be used to secure the stand when you get up there. You just wrap a hook around the tree and pull tight. The stand won't move.

The seat is very comfortable and well thought out as well. The front straps can be pushed towards the tree so today the seat is not in the way during climbing. It is important that you adjust the seat so that it is even. If not it will become uncomfortable after a few hours. You only have to do this once and not enshrine everytime you climb.

And lastly, out is completely silent. no creaking, popping, or metal on metal sounds. This beats my Summit hands down. I thought I would share in case anyone is in the market.
