I'd have to take the muzzle loader. I just can't find a crossbow I like.

If you started with the one I did, you would hate crossbows. I had an Excalibur Matrix 380. Sighting that thing in was like spending two hours in the gym. It was hell to cock. Even with the pull rope, it was rough. The limbs were wide as hell and it was loud.

I got a top of the line at the time 10 Point crossbow after that. It was crazy how different those two crossbows are. Much narrower limbs, easy to cock, accurate, and a lot quieter than the Excalibur.

I made the change 7-8 years ago so I’m sure the technology has advanced significantly since then.

40 yards and in - if you own both - which do you choose? Both take a little to load, both way above deer hunting accuracy. Crossbow has less noise when fired and no smoke so get to see which way they run. 2” rage bh more blood than ML on average. ML is more handy to carry.

Crossbow 40 yds and in. ML is my favorite season. So regardless the distance of that week I’m taking the CVA

I have a CVA Accura but I've never had it in the woods. I probably haven't shot it 20 times. I always just pick up my Elite Bow and head to the woods.

bow for sure. Muzzleloaders suck!!! So much smoke you can’t even tell which way they go.

They should be DRT Allen especially at 50 yards or less

I’ve never missed a deer inside 40 with a modern muzzleloader. Sure as hell can’t say that for my arrows.

me and my dog willie we like to drive at night and spotlight em with the muzzle loader but when it comes time to sit in the stand nothing beats the crossbow and corn combo.

Then I got Sweetness out ready for Saturday. She sure was ready to get out of the safe......

As much as I really don’t like using a muzzleloader I still would take take it over the crossbow because I don’t have to have a clear shot or deer at correct angle.

ML all day long. I have killed 2 at 150 yards and several more at 100. They aren't without reliability problems though.
