I've been there a couple of times and don't care if I ever go back. I can kill a lot more ducks on my little holes close to home without any of the headaches. :up:

BM is an awesome place but hunting out of my huge blind on a private reservoir is such less headache. I will do the boat race about 2-3 times a year and that's all I can handle.

On most days I keep my slippers on and just ease into my woods by Humnoke, but sometimes its fun to go hunt the shootin grounds. Typically we don't put our spinners in the hole though. We either throw a fishing line up over a big limb and work them up and down...adds alot of realism. Or we like to make pole extensions for em and get some up in the trees. Last year our best hunt we had five spinners and finished multiple big flocks over the decoys. :up: I'm not sure if it was the spinners or my highball routine that I worked on all summer with my RNT MVP. Either way I'm happy we had our vortex with us!!!!!!

I know you said you were just messing with me, but I was refering to hunting open flats where you can see hundreds of yards across it. I can't even see the ducks that they are calling at, but those spinners can be seen from a long way off on open water. I don't live near bayou meto so I have never hunted there but I have heard plenty of stories of how it is there. You are right, if you can see another guys spinner in the timber than you are way too close.

Just wanted to clarify so people don't think that I set up 75 yards from people. If someone beats me to a hole then I move to another one, however a lot of the time people don't repay us the favor.

But, we didn't have spinner issues then tho, who would have ever thought it would go this far!!!! The sport is a ridiculous mess!!! I don't know what to say or think now........ I vote for 30 days and 3 ducks, over 3 months...... I'll still get mine!!! I'll take off and hunt every one of em! Pisses me off the more I read this b.s.:smack::smack:

No water no ducks, too much water, ducks spread out, too many hunters, not enough hunters moving around getting up roosted birds, gota have a spinner or 5-11, gotta hangem in the trees, well they've gotta spinner so I gotta have 1 too, ban the spinner, bring back the spinner, goota have this duck call to kill ducks, don't shoot woodies, shootin swings, dog cussin, ban this, limit that.........

The other part of that is, the hunters are gonna show up, some with all the toys they can carry and those with a short bag of decoys and a jerk string. And there both gonna kill ducks, some days. If you don't like it, don't come. If you do, well, good luck to you.
