Great,if it's all you got and can afford.One of my pistols is a j-frame 32 and I some times carry it loaded with wad cutters.

 

I personally want something heavier than that for CCW.

However, a .22 or .32 beats throwing rocks.

 

Only if your other gun is a 25. :fit: The 32 s&w long looks like it may be marginal, but the 32 auto looks pretty worthless to me.

 

Well then, if ya'll think the 32 ACP is so ineffective then would you volunteer to let me shoot you with one.

Talk to the folks at the crime lab and see what gun kills more people you might be supprised that it's not a 9, 40 or 45.

No the 32 is not a large caliber but with todays ammo it's also not your grand paws 32 either.

The only problem is that I sold my Kel Tek not to long ago, so I will need to borrow one for the test.

 

A 22 short can kill someone eventually, but it won't stop someone who wants to get to you or someone on drugs.

The 32 auto has about 120lbs of energy at the muzzle, only about 5lbs more than the 22lr. If I had to choose I would probably go with the 22lr. It's cheaper to shoot, would probably be more effective becuase it would get better penitration and it's probably more accurate.

 

I'd rather have a 32 in my pocket than nothing. It's not the best, but it beats nothing at all.

 

It's better than a pointy stick and if all I had was a .32 I'd probably carry it and most likely it'd do the job.But I wouldn't go out and shop for a .32 to carry,.380's and 9 mm guns[even .40] are small enough now I just don't see a use for a .32 anymore.

Like has been said, if you got one with you, that's the gun you shoot.

I've got one too, just never carried it. Grampa brought it back from Germany in the mid 40's, so it stays in the safe.

I think you're right. Given that, the humble .32 has actually done mankind some good.

 

A .32 makes a dandy self defense weapon that works 100% of the time. The trick is to get your adversary to hold still long enough for you to stick the muzzle in their ear before firing. I draw the line at 9mm/.38 Special when my lifes on that line.
