Last year, every time I would fill the barrel I would take off the shirt i was wearing and swap it with one on my stand. I used the tractor some times to get to the barrel and decided to leave a diesel scented rag by the stand as well. I kept a small jar of diesel at the base of the stand to refresh it. If I dont get dropped off, Ill leave the truck far enough away it doesn't matter.

My first couple of years baiting, I did the same with the shirt I was wearing. I would leave it on a downed log within 10'-12'of the bait barrel. Both years bears came in while I was on stand. I may do that again myself.
