I’ve had a little activity. It’s spotty 2 one day none the next, 1 at night and one during day. I cleaned up the bear site and took my camera down. I walked around a bit and was surprised at the lack of acorns I saw. Saw more on the ground the week before season than I did after all the rain

Here is a pic we got. Not big, but it's mine. Fun part was grandkids being fascinated by the load of bread I had in the house and helping me open it up and put in a tub - sneaking a bite now and then.

Bear activity for my one target cinnamon bear kicked back up this week with multiple showings each day. (after over a week no-show during opening). So I rebaited yesterday and sat today. Connected about 5pm (Van Buren)! Took my first cinnamon and first harvest with a bow (not crossbow). I am happy and just got in from all the work.

I cant see way up in the trees anymore. Judging from what I saw the 1st week of season I thought there would be a ton of acorns. I went out yesterday to look around and I was shocked at how few acorns I saw and didnt see a single white oak acorn. hope they get back on the bait for you

Ole Biggie came thru last night for a little snack. Only hung around about 45min. Hoping he shows up while we’re deer hunting by some stroke of luck.

The bucks are still semi regular….

But gonna have to get into the blind EARLY to catch the big one. Daughter says she’s game. We’ll see….
