Hivernan and I drew GEN elk tags in Wyoming for this fall!
Anybody else get their results today?

I hope it is cold enough for spooning.

Dangit! That was a survival situation!
  6. Hopefully if you two can huddle close enough together the grizzlies will think you are too big to mess with.

    Congrats on the draw!!
With all the stuff going on with Kung Flu back at the deadline to apply for Colorado came up, my group all just put in for preference points for both deer and elk in Colorado this year. We all have 7 or 8 deer points and were afraid if we put in for deer and got them and then couldn't go we'd have burned 8 years worth of points. If we still go like planned, we can get over the counter elk tags for all but the first season.

I thought 4th season was draw only as well?

Probably is, I never looked at it, we usually go 2nd or 3d season. Been building points to try for 1st season elk just to try it. Only trouble with that is I'd rather have a mule deer tag than an elk, takes 8+ to get one in the unit we hunt, but if we put in for 1st season it's elk only. So I don't want to put in for 1st season elk if I have a decent shot at a deer tag for the 2nd or 3d. Be just my luck to finally get a deer tag and then draw out for a 1st season elk tag the same year. There are 6 of us putting in as a group for 1st elk, but as individual on deer. No one has drawn a tag in 7 years I've been going.
