Needs to fit a 6 ft bed without putting the tail gate down so I can tow a boat. Truck is a single cab, one half ton, 1500 GMC. Anyone have one or know someone who has one for sale?

I'm looking for one of the kinds that the roof raises or lowers like a Palamino or Skamper.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Please let me know one way or the other if you can. I found a camper in Mo but it will be about 16 hours round trip and I'd rather buy here. I'm suppose to leave this coming Tueday to meet the guy in Mo so if you can ask your buddy before that I'll keep watching the board.

Saw one for sale west of little Rock on Hwy 10 in front of the old Fletcher restaraunt. Looked exactly like what you are looking for. If I head back out that way I'll get the number for you. In the meantime maybe someone that drives the route can pick it up.

All I know about hwy 10 is from LR to lake Maumelle and I don't go there very often at all. Is the Fletcher restraunt on that stretch or past lake Maumelle? I can take a drive that way but need a little help with the area.

Well, the camper is bigger than I thought. Didn't measure it but it is air conditioned and has a bathroom. One of the shortest with a bathroom I've seen. Model is Steury. Phone number is 501-529-3074. Check it out. If your boat is a small flatbottom 14-15. You can use a hitch extension and let the tail gate down. Anyway you go, you'll want to use some air shocks and preferably air bags with these guys.
Ask about the jacks and tie downs. Can't remember if they are attached or loose.

I'll give them a call. I'm towing a 20 foot Skeeter to varrious tournaments. That's why I need a camper to fit a 6' bed so I can turn. Egads, why couldn't I have been born rich? I know I could buy another truck with a 8' bed but this one is paid for.

Sorry he sold his cab over ages ago now hes selling his normal camper...... I didn't even know he had bought a normal camper:smack:
