I will call in just about anything but high winds. I dont care if its 10 deg. or 100 deg. but wind is where I draw the line. They are very uneasy and will almost always get your downwind. I hate it!

I was gonna make a a few stands today but when I heard the forecast had a wind advisory w/ 35 mph wind gusts, I changed my mind. My son and his friends went anyway since this is the last day of Christmas Break for them...they saw nothing. Tomorrow will be a better day. Supposed to be in the lows 20's and 5-10 mph winds. Would love to see some snow or freezing overnight temps to get these weary delta dogs moving.

The wind was not that bad at first light. Like micah said, we called in a herd. However, after the wind picked up, we blanked on five consecutive stands. One was our fault, the rest I blame on the wind. I don't know if they could have even heard the call.
