Where can a guy small water fish around Central AR? Pickthorn maybe .... any sloughs/backlwaters, small ponds or bodies of public water ya'll could mention?

I don't know what part of central you are talking about...but u have the cadron creek north of Conway that is a good float and good fish. There is also a few smaller creeks that feed off the cadron in Faulkner, van buren, and cleburne counties that offer good wade fishing.

I live in Cabot .... I don't have a bass boat just a couple of canoes right now. Just thinking of a 1/2 day fish for my 10 year old son and I on the weekends you know?

There are some decent smallies in the saline river. Its a nice float as well.

I would second the Saline. I miss living in Bemton, just because of how close the river is.

You can also float at Pinacle Mountain. I've only been once in my flat bottom, and we were overloaded so we didn't have any fun. But it could be.

Palarm creek, put in at Ark river and go back up toward lake Conway, or put in by the dam and go down.

Ouachita river from Remmel to I30 and further down From I30 to ???. That is if you are close to Malvern or Hot Springs.
