Here are a couple of shots of what I think is the same fox at one of my deer feeders. The coloring looks a little funny to me, like maybe he is a gray/red fox combination. What do you think?

A Red Fox would have a white tip on its tail.

I don't think I have ever seen a gray fox with that much red and white on him. But when everbody started saying gray fox I did an internet search and, apparently, that's what some of them look like. Thanks for the help. Guess I should have done an internet search earlier.

I say grey fox, we have one that frequents one of our stands that you can almost set your watch by and my father in law and I have the grey/red/mix conversation every time we see him. Thought about shooting him about a year ago, but he is fun to watch and he comes by the big box stand so he is good entertainment for any kids that decide they want to go hunting.

No doubt you found the answer to your question. There is one that prowls my neighborhood and frequently seen crossing the road at night. It may have even more red that the one in your photo, but it is also a Gray Fox. :thumb:
