What does it take....?

SA........man it's really not something we can discuss in a public forum. One reason is that most folks will never be able to reach that level of turkey killing. I'd love to list off all my qualifications that make me a "Stone Cold Turkey Killer",but alas I'm afraid that some poor soul on here might read it figure out he/she will never be able to reach that level and give up on the sport or worse.........just end it all togther. I can't have that on my concious. The only thing I can tell you SA is that when you reach that level............you'll know it:cool:

Well thanks I guess.....I'm afraid I won't recognize the signs or even know what to look for IF I ever get there. Can you give me some hints? Is it having a particular skill set or number of birds killed? Just looking for generalizations not necessarily specifics. For example, I've killed 13 longbeards in the last 2 seasons and averaged a little over 4 per year for the last 15 years with a dozen or so kills before the 15 year stretch started. Am I close to qualifying or do I still have a ways to go or what do I need to do to get there? Thanks in advance!

One has to wonder when someone makes the statement, "I'm a stone cold turkey killer" if their credentials actually match their opinion of themselves.

So aside from the breaking the SCTK version of the man law what else do I need to be doing? These were the types of hints I was looking for! Information on all other qualifying and disqualifying actions would be appreciated!

Not asking what you need to do or not do. If you refer to yourself as a SCTK then you most definitely are not one. If others refer to you as a SCTK then you talk to damn much and will probably loose that status. If people whisper your name in quiet reverence then you probably are.

Well there goes the pipe dream :-( I was hoping that I might one day become a member of the club but the people speaking of you in quiet reverence thing fundamentally disqualifies me. There are maybe 2 or 3 people that know me that know what I kill but rarely know where I kill one unless we're traveling, but I feel fairly confident that my personality is one that will never lend itself to others speaking of me in quiet reverence. Dang personality flaws screwed me again! Kinda sucks to know that it's based on popularity or likeability :banghead:

What does it take....? You'll know when, you wake up at 04:30 with a turkey gobblin on the eave of your house cause you been yelpin in yer sleep!:fit::razz::biggrin:
