I like to see hunts, not advertisements.

I DO NOT LIKE STAGED SCENES!!!!!!!!

I like Primos tag: No fancy scenes, no staged edits

We had a debate with John Brown, who edited for the NWTF's shows. He stated that editing scenes and audio were essential for a good show. We argued that they added things to the hunt that did not happen. He countered that you need fill in footage and audio to fill the show. Plus, he stated it was a teaching tool and was really to show inexperienced hunters what goes on? What, are you kidding me? If a gobbler was 20 steps away and I snapped my safety off instead of easing it off, my dad would have popped me on the back of my head. We suggested they use more interviews, not fake scenes. John did not agree.

The NWTF TV show had a hunt that was in Alabama the year before decoys were allowed. The hunt was in a pine plantation during the rain. The camera pans over and sure enough there's a decoy set. Someone caught it and posted on the site pretty quick. John had to defend the added scenes, but took alot of heat.

Adding audio is just as bad. How many turkey hunts are there when the gobbler is pretty silent, with little or no gobbling? Many times! If a hunt occurs that way, show it that way. I actually watched a turkey hunt where the gobbles sounded awfully familiar......it was the ringtone I downloaded for my cell phone!!!!

I wish they would all do a break down of the equipment that they are hunting with as they start the hunt. Just print across the screen bow type, rifle caliber, broadhead, draw length, and so on. I also wish they would do more after the shot blood trailing and find the deer on actual footage. Most of them the deer has alread been found the deer is already posed and all of the blood cleaned. I understand this to a degree but if you like to hunt, blood is part of it. Also like everyone has already stated more hunting and less advertising.

No porn music playing while the hunter is about to take a shot. Also like has already been said no fancy edits. I don't care anything about seeing the hunters face as he pulls the trigger. Especially since it's just a recreation of the hunt anyway.

More of Tiffany hunting whitetails without her husband.

Seriously, real hunts on public land on pressured deer.
If this were the case, there would be no TV shows (which may not be a bad thing). This is because it wold be exceedingly difficult to get enough footage for a show.

That being said, I like to see hunting scenes. I couldn't care less about listening to some celebrity talk about their life as a baseball player or NASCAR driver or golfing and such. I'd also like to see more "how to" stuff. But that needs to be from people who really know and not from someone just reading a script. As for Tiffany ... well better let that one go.

I want to see the guy/gal take their game and I hate it when they cut away from the kill to go advertise for ten minutes. I would prefer they advertise before the hunt or after the hunt so I can switch channels. :thumb:

I want to see more actually and seroius hunting and not all this passing up stuff. If they want to pass up some yearling bucks that is fine but dang it start whacking some does. All these shows talk about good sound management but very few whack any does just big antler bucks.

Nothing ticks me off more than to watch one of this show and they have this huge whitetail buck in fornt of them in range and they don't take him because they are some ranch looking for a management buck.:smack:

i do not have cable right now but when i did. i seen only one time where a hunter on a tv show put on a deer tag. in elk or carabu hunts you see hunter and guide walking away in the sun set only seeing a set of antlers on a back pack the other nothing. where the heck is the rest of it ? i also hate it when they refer to some one as a professional hunter. that's what i would like to see changed. i would like to see a show where you have one hunter go to an area he has never been to before two days before a hunt . then tell me why he picked the area he is hunting. with out a local telling him where to go on a public wild life area. that's what i would like to see.
