As if I dont get spring fever bad enough, it's even worse with this warm weather.
I walked out the door the other morning. The sun was rising. It was warm and calm. The birds were chirping. Then some crows started raising hell. I caught myself stopping to listen for a gobble.
This is not good. It's not even Feb yet!

Don't have it as bad as ya'll do yet but if this weather doesn't get winter like soon we will definitely have a early breeding session which will again open up for early, wet, cold hatch time possible this year. I personally do not like for them to get started too soon in the spring.

Last weekend while bowhunting deer a mature gobbler flew off the roost about 7:15am and gobbles loud four times got my blood pumping.
That's cool!
I've actually seen turkey sign the last two times I was out scouting over the last couple weekends. Up here in Benton Co, that's about as rare as ivory billed woodpecker sitings.
