I'm looking for a GM small block 400. Just a buildable block would be fine or if you have a complete rebuildable engine thats fine also. No junk please.

I've got an excellent block two bolt but the question is how much are you welling to fork out cause these are hard to find and those of us who have them really don't want to get rid of them that easely. And I'm in your town, or your in my town:smack:
Yes there getting hard to come buy...Whats the price?
Let me think about it a day or two .

It's clean and has new freeze plugs just needs cam bearings nocked out and new ones put back in and its ready to assemble
Ok I'll check back with you if I havent located one in a couple days.

Because I'm actualy looking for it for my uncle. His 400 he has in his vette spit a rod out. He wants to go back with a 400. Or maybe build him a 377 out of the 400 block if I find him one. There so hard to find he probly end up with a 350 in it for its over with. No telling what he might decide to run in it.:smack: But for now he wants a 400 back in it.
If the crank survived, build a 383. 350 blocks are still fairly easy to find.
i have a badazz 350, running, in a straight, 82 chevy p/u. Jet/Holley 750, Edelbrock performer rpm intake, factory heads off a 67 vette, hedders, flowmaster 40's, high torque mini starter, new tires, been sitting up for a while, new custom ground comp cams, cam and lifters a year ago, and not one mile on it since then. needs paint, and brake calipers. $3000.00 package deal. BG12
I have owned about a dozen sb 400s over the years and let them all go. Wished i had them back!
me too OZT, last one i had, i sold for 150.00:smack: i didnt know it was a 400 though. i was told it was a 350, and the only way to tell is the flywheel weights. after the guy paid me, and loaded it up, he said, oh yeah, thats a 400 not a 350, and drove off:frown: BG12
