A friend of mine said he could get me some feed that is used in turkey houses. He said that they pour their extra feed out and the deer will eat it.I was wandering If anyone has tried it.

If the feed has bone meal in it, it should not be fed to deer or cattle as bone meal is thought to cause CWD. It will probably be a pelletized feed and will spoil quickly with rain or dew. We had turkeys for 12 years and I never tried it.

I made feed at a turkey feed mill,and I wouldn't let wild turkeys or deer anywhere near it.It has all kinds of meds and steroids in .The feed is in classes which is set up for age groups.Each class of feed has it's own makeup with protien and meds.
