If a fella that had no experience with trapping, wanted to trap half a dozen coons that keep eating his deer corn, what kind of advice would you give him? Don't even own a trap.

Live traps would be the easiest way to do it. Kind of pricey around $45 each, but just put them out pile a little brush on them and through in some vanilla wafers and you will catch them.

we use the dog proof dukes or Lil griz's they run from 13.00 to 21.00 and you do not have to worry about someones dog. Bait them with sardines or mackeral.

Get a couple of the dog-proof traps like the "Lil Grizz" or Duke's "DP". Put one marshmallow under the trigger and one in the top of the trap. No chance of getting the neighbor's dog & effective on the coons.
