Waiting for that Magnum Black Duck to get picked outta Pickthorn. I wonder where he came from been there since 2 weeks before 1st split opened up, but I have noticed his companion hasn't been around the last few weeks. Gotta be a farm duck that got misplaced by that last tornado.

Wow there was actually about 20 trucks at 9:30 when I drove by. No one at the trucks though with ducks.

I am very new to duck hunting(as in never gone), and was wondering if the bayou that crosses the power lines on the the south side of Holland Bottoms is any good? It looks good to my untrained eye, but I don't know about the power lines. Any tips to a novice I would be thankfull.
