How many of you still hunt the timber if it is raining? That is, raining hard enough that it is going to keep the timid at home. Any of you ever have any luck hunting the timber when it is raining pretty hard? Can't make up my mind if I want to go to the timber in the morning or not.

I hate hunting woods in the rain. Thats what rice fields are for. I will do all I can to get out of a rainy woods hunt. Ducks just are not as good in the rainy woods as they are a good clear sunshinny morning. And its not just the hunting in the rain. Its that wet ride in the boat and cleaning your gun when you get back. With all that said a bad day in the woods is bettter than a good day at work. You can still kill ducks. Your on you on.

I've had some great days in the scatters when the forecast is for rain...... crowd says home and you get enough clear weather to do some work......

Of course you'll get days when it sets in raining and all you get is wet........ ducks just ain't gonna do it in the timber very often in a steady rain.
