You'd probably need a gunsmith to take a look at it. I was told by a gunsmith years ago that the older Rem's had a little thinner barrels and that they could not be threaded.
I'm not a gunsmith so take that advice for exactly what you paid for it. :biggrin:
Mr. C is right. Find a smith to look at it. He will not be able to tell you anything till he can put his eyes on it. If the barrel is cut down, it might be thick enough to be threaded.
