Been using huckabees for several years. Great rods 14-16’…they’ve even got the 18’ out now. However, I also use the Dobyns 14’ Josh Jones edition a lot and it’s a much lighter weight rod with just as much boat flipping backbone. The industry is quickly filling up with top of the line jigging poles..HH, Ozark rods..the list goes on and on.

I’ve been thinking about ordering a K-Rod. How much heavier is it than the 14’? I really like the 14’ Huck I have, but not sure I want any more weight. Still thinking about ordering one of those Dobyns we talked about but man I’m jig pole poor.

Those Dobyns are pretty sweet. I like a 14’ rod. And I like the 13’ Hucks…The K-rod definitely takes some getting used too. It's big and bulky but reaches out there. I know several guys using the 18’ Ozark rods and love em, but I’ve yet to pick one up. In the end, I’m all about comfort on those 10-12hr days!

I love my 16’ K-Rod, I don’t notice it at all fishing all day

I can see I'm going to have to head over to the redneck side of the Mississippi river and see if I can't boat flip me one of those 3 lbers. Maybe my hands won't look so big. But in all honesty I have really big hands, Doc said one in million have hands like that and couple that with a tiny head. I've been insecure about it all my life, thanks for reminding me.
