Anyone had any luck? I’m headed in from work finally so I’m about to get after them.
I’ve sat a total of 18-20 hours between four hunts and have only saw 4 deer total. Two spotted fawns, their momma was out of sight but blowing. A single doe. And the buck I shot second day of season. It’s so hot, it’s hard for me to burn my tree stand time away from the family sweating. I’ll save that for a cold front in the next week or two if it shows up.
I’m headed out in the morning for my first hunt. I put out corn this evening lots of fresh white oak acorns and tons of mosquitoes!!!
Still on the boat. There’s a slim possibility I’ll get a few hours in on the 12th or 13th. But I’ll be after it with a vengeance starting on the 22nd.
Hunted last Saturday for the first time with no luck. Seen a couple small bucks and that was it. Planning on going tomorrow and Saturday.
Same here I’ll be out tomorrow
Anyone going in the morning? It was miserable today.
Nope. Good luck to anyone who does!
Saw a small buck so far that’s it spike or 3 point wasn’t a clear view and lots of squirrels.
We saw a young doe a little while ago.
I’m thinking about going out in a bit and setting a blind up for tomorrow morning. Was going to hunt this evening but it’s too dang hot
I’m REALLY surprised it has stayed this hot this long.
I have been booked solid all bow season! I wasn't really excited about the season anyway. My bow spot only had a few does slipping through every day. I finally went and checked my game camera yesterday and I've got 3-4 shooters coming through in the evenings... I'm pretty darn excited now!
Good luck everybody!
I hope you get one buddy! I hope to get back after them in the morning. Every single day something has broke out my house hope to get the rest of it fixed today fingers crossed.
Still be a while until I can hunt. Good luck logan.
Seems it comes in spurts. Hopefully it’ll level of for you.
That’s no lie!
Saw a lot of movemt today before the storm just no shooters. Getting back after them tomorrow.
I’m up a tree enjoying the variable winds and balmy cold front. I saw a fresh scrape underneath a red oak that has some pretty good acorns while walking in. I’m trying to figure out why I didn’t just grab my stand and hunt back over there. I am hoping I’m on the trail heading to that tree that they are using.
