went out this morning and had 2 does come in about 8:20am. Had one at broadside about 17 yards but there was a branch from a pine tree covering her vitals and she wasn't going anywhere so i turned my concentration to the one that was right under me. She moved out to 12 yards quartering away, I drew my bow sitting down and shot right over her back :banghead: I guess it's been so long since I've SEEN a deer in the daylight, I forgot what to do
it was a pretty miserable miss but i'd rather miss than hit her high and not be able to recover her in the rain. oh well, they'll be back  I was happy just to have some deer in range
(if you were wondering, this was not with the new bow)
