Bore condition? Any corrosion in the bore, on the bolt face? What finish.. old parkerization, old bluing or newer bluing? How was it sporterized? How is the scope mounted? Still have iron sights mounted?

Yes they are. While nowadays its a shame to sporterize an old rifle like that, in 'the day' it was common practice. There are a lot of fine hunting rifles out there made from the Model of 1917... my favorite military bolt action rifle.
