i put on ripcord before last season and was quite pleased with its overall performace- except i have a slight vane strike on forks, i've tried everything possible on arrow, turning etc but it still ticks the forks very slightly. i have it on mathews drenalin and i think the rest is not falling fast enough for total clearence. i'm trying to find out if the rest can be speeded up, that would solve my problem rather than buy the new and faster one <08>= about $120 time you pay shipping and handling. waiting to hear from the company on help. anyone have this problem or know how to speed it up:head:

reply from ripcord- Try raising the nock point on your bow string about and an eighth of an inch..…this generally works. If it does not, let us know and we can try something else! thats too much of change without effecting the arrow flight..i have 1/2 inch i can move the rest toward my riser..i don't see that helping:head:

Make sure the arrow nock is in the correct place, I did it wrong reading the instructions. I had some Bowtech guys at a store in Texas tweak it and it works like a charm. Otherwise if yo shorten the string tied to your cable slide or where ever you have it should help.

I shoot a Bowtech Tribute that shoots 310fps.

Just make sure it pulls to the stop in the last one inch of your draw.
Ripcords and QAD's are a little different than the normal dropaways.

What bow are you shooting......Is it a low brace height speed bow?

Could you post pictures of the setup?

Good luck

Good point, glad you brought that up about the cock vane. My brother has to angle his cock vane down to about 7 oclock to keep things from hitting and this is for a 2" duramax vane. If 4" vanes are being used you shouldnt have trouble. Its the 2" that causes the problem.

i failed to mention its drenalin 70 lb with 2 inch blazers. i have tried the cock vane in every postion and it makes no difference in clearence. now i'm trying moving the rest 1 inch forward to the riser- jury is still out on this yet, if this don't work next i'll move nocking point.
