Southwestern Arkansas Fur Takers will sponsor our annual fur sale Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Hot Spring County Fairgrounds in Malvern Arkansas. You must be a member to sell your fur at this sale. Our dues are only $7.00 per year. Commission is 5%. We will have a meeting Sunday January 22 at the Woodmen Of The World building in Arkadelphia Arkansas at 2:00 PM to draw for lot numbers. A $10.00 deposit is required for a lot #. This deposit goes toward your commission. If your commission totals less than $10.00 you can request a refund. (No refund if you do not sell any fur.) If you can't make the drawing on Sunday you can receive the next available lot number by being a member and paying the $10.00 deposit. It is off of Highway 51 about 2 miles South of Highway 8.

Gate will open at 6:00 AM & lotting in will Start as soon as we can get the table manned. WE will ask anyone that can to help man the Lotting in tables, The Auctioneer table, or dragging fur to volunteer to help!! Our club is a non profit organization. We use any funds we receive to promote trapping, hunting, fishing, & other sustainable uses of our wildlife resources. We co sponser a Trappers Workshop at Camp Clearfork each year. We currently have 54 sellers registered. I have heard from several buyers; we should have at least 12-15 buyers. You can still get a lot number at the sale so come on down! Hope to see you in Malvern this Saturday!

There will be at least two trap supply dealers, one vendor selling guns, & a couple individuals with knives, traps, & guns. Maybe some Ammo also. Something for everyone. Southwestern Arkansas Fur Takers is raffling a brand new Ruger 10-22 rifle. Chances are $1.00 each, 6 for $5.00. You do not have to be present to win. Drawing at 2:00 PM, Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. There will be a concession stand with food & deserts. Hope to see you there!!
