Load me up on any snaring tips you trappers may have. I'll probably target racoons and beavers, maybe a muskrat if I find any. Got some snares for my birthday and want to put them to good use!
I've caught alot of beavers on crossovers on dams and slides off of banks with snares. Set them about an inch or two of the ground with the loop set about 8" in diameter. Put some sticks to the side to guide the target animal into the snare.
The first order of business is to find the tiny trails....once you learn what they look like, it becomes second nature. Set your snares on these little runs, for the best success!
