Ok fairly new to this game ...... can I load green dot pushing 1 1/4 7.5 in and aa hull and if so how many grains?

I used to load shotshells and if I remember right they are very particular about all aspects of the load, ie: hull, wad, powder charge and primer. Metallic loads seem to be forgiving of minor variations, not so in my shotshell loading experience.

Best bet would be to consult load data and since you are asking about Green ?Dot I would specifically look at Alliant's load data.

Back when I reloaded shotshell every recipe called for a certain hull, certain wad, buffer/felt pad, how much shot, how much powder and even primer.

Do exactly as Mr C said...look at the load data. DON'T take someones suggestion on the internet, unless its from a reliable source.
