Wing butt or hip joint...Main thing is to not hit the breast plate
It's farther back to avoid the breast plate. As far as sticking them to the ground I've never personally seen this done. Tracking is the same as on anything else.I have heard of people sticking them to the ground (if you are shooting from an elevated Stand). I have seen several hunting shows where the bird flys off after the shot.
How can you track a flying bird?
From looking at 3D targets the 10ring is lower and further back than I would normally think. But that is a Turkey for you!
