what kind of recoil does it have? I've never shot a 223 and am looking for something for my 6yr old. thanks

The recoil with that rifle will literally be almost zero. Your 6YO should have no problem with it. Make sure he/she has a good set of ear muffs/plugs and they should do just fine.

Get a box of good quality ammo and they will have an excellent deer rifle, and dad can use it for predators as an added bonus. :biggrin:

thanks for the info. The wife just reminded me about my elk hunting trip to Wyoming in Oct. and how much I'm spending on that! Looks like I'm out of the market for a gun till Santa rolls into town!!
