Ok I am about the only Conservative in my family.

Well my old momma is a die hard Democrat, She brags about voting for Odumbo. One of the ladies she worked with at the garment factory needs some kind of expensive medicine. The friend is 81 year old, well Medicare turned her down for it and the letter says "live expectancy is not long enough to warrant the expense of the drug." Mpm was whining and crying about the poor woman.

I said "Hey, I told you this crap was goign to happen, You voted for the Communist!"

    Welcome to free health care.

  3. So the government refused to pay for the entitlement and you blame a communist.

Interesting take..... I'd say a real communist would want to do away with all medicare.

    Obama isn't a Communist

He's more a Socialist and yes, blame is square on him for designing this new system, and for people who voted him in office knowing he'd do it

The Govt is now #1 and people serve it

  5. So you propose that retired people should have unlimited access to medicine?

    What do you propose?
  7. Nice,if you can't afford it you don't get it,plain and simple,or chose your own insurance and what it covers
  8. Health care instead of vain, very expensive attempts to avoid death.

The democrat, liberal, progressives have always acted like they cared about people more than the republican, conservatives. They have boasted how they care more for education and have tooted their horn about healthcare and education is a human right. The point is that it is a lie, they only care about power and have lied about their true agenda. They made fun of the conservatives who told that healthcare would be denied to those who were too old to be productive and now we find out it was all a lie.
All of us who have earned a paycheck have been forced to pay into medicare and social security and our employers have matched it. Over a lifetime it should have been plenty
to care for us in our old age. But the liberals have used it to reward sloth and pay illegal aliens to get their votes and remain in power. Obamacare went about the healthcare problem backwards. It should have addressed the reasons for the high cost of healthcare first but they didn't because almost all of the democratic lawmakers are lawyers and tort reform would have taken money out of their pockets.

I had rather the government pay for a woman's medicine that has contributed to the tax roll all her life than to the ones laying up having kid after kid and living off those entitlement programs and never worked a day in their life.

We been over this, the democrates or new socialist party as it is, are all for getting more folks on the government dime, reason being that is votes for them.

I feel if you are on the government entitlement programs then you shouldn't be able to vote.

Doesn't the good book say to care for the least of these, that is what we should be doing. If they can't afford it and truly need medicine, health care, food stamps or whatever that is indeed a need they should get it.

The insurance and health care system has been manipulated over the years so that the only insurance anyone that age can get or afford is medicare. Only the independently wealthy can afford to buy their own health insurance at age 81 to avoid this kind of healthcare rationing.

The Bible says to care for the orphan and the widow. The Bible also says we should tithe. If every church member in America tithed then we would be dependent on the government to meet our needs. Oooo wait dadgummit I forgot Obama is fixing to put a cap on charitable giving....o well feed me big G feed me!!!

That is the problem, medicare was supposed to take care of those that truly need it like this lady, and the only ones it will take care of are the lazy parasites that have been allowed to rob the system. And our government over the years have brainwashed people to believe that people that have outlived their usefulness need to be exterminated.

"Health care instead of vain, very expensive attempts to avoid death." This is what folks feel now instead of taking care of those that really need help.

While inevitably a certain portion will find it's way into the pockets of unscrupulous doctors, and politicians! I bet if that old lady's last name was Pelosi or Reid, she'd have gotten the meds!

That's fine, then quit taking it out of my paycheck. If a person is forced to pay into the system then they should have an expectation of coverage at retirement.

You'd probably sing a different tune if it was your mom or wife that they sent the letter to.
  19. Depends on the context....... an 81 year old with a terminal condition is what it is.

I love how "conservatives" think we can afford to spend millions on every senior citizen that begins the process of dying. Dying is a natural part of life...... it is time for the health care system to get out of that business.

Medicare is mostly broken because of expensive treatments in the last six months of peoples lives....... it simply isn't sustainable.

Unless you have the data to back up that statement it is just an opinion. If you have the data, I would love to see it.

I would say that your statement is part of the problem they system is not sustainable, but I would not go so far as saying it is the major part until I saw a breakdown of the $$ spent. Unfortunately, I'll bet nobody even has a good idea where the money is going. I'm sure the tens of thousands of unwed mothers and children are not a burden on that system at all. :head:
