How do these guns perform? I've noticed they are a little less then the 1100 and 11-87. What is the difference?

The SPR 453 is the same gun as a Baikal MP153, just imported and rebadged as a Remington. It's a Russian made gun. Not in the same family as the 1100 or 11-87.

EAA or USSG was the importer; Remington has since dropped the Spartan line. From what I have read and what I've seen from my gun, if broken in properly they're a good low cost gun. According to the *internet* most of the issues are from people that didn't follow the break in guidelines and try to adjust down for light loads right off the bat. Mine runs 3.5's pretty good and it will float the fourth if you're of a mind to. My gun is filthy inside right now. I bought it last year, screwed on the barrel and went hunting. I pulled it out this year and hit it with a blast of CLP and went hunting again. I haven’t had a malfunction yet. At the end of the season it’ll get cleaned.

A nice video of the 453/153 in action.
