Being a predator hunter mostly, I set maybe 15-20 minutes on a stand and then need to move on. Most of the time needing to go about 1/4 to half mile away from where I am and try again.

On WMAs that are well kept with roads and such, I know that ATVs would be prohibited without a permit. But would a plain mountain bike be the same?

I can only find one reference to to bicycles in the code and that is under Cherokee needing a permit to access it period.

Might should check that out for each individual WMA.

I know of two (at least) that do not allow unrestricted use of Mountain Bikes.
Real good advise! Make sure you do not get on a closed road or trail of a restricted trail or area.
For example some hiking trails are for hiking only. Horseback riding trails maybe restricted also.
Be absolutely sure you do not get into a restricted area: Wilderness, Botanical area, or other restricted areas. :thumb:

Yes, I should have posted "stay on maintained roads and trails".

I doubt you will ever get any flak from your mountain bike use on a State WMA, wherever you ride it. But do check with the Area Manager if you think the place your riding could be off limits.

If they don't enforce the regulations on 4 wheelers, why would they say anything about a bicycle??:censored:
