I was just wondering if anyone has a SW pistol with a plastic safety triggers and if you have had any problems with them?

Those funny hinged triggers were apparently made to break at 8 lbs or so on purpose. I've never even shot one, but you hear a lot about them. There are a lot of folks out there advocating removing springs and such to lighten the trigger pull, but I'd do a bit of research first.

I have a Sigma .380 that has the same trigger and never had a problem so far. But it has only had about 265rd through it.

I'm not sure how the S&W's compare to other guns as I haven't looked them over real well, but the Glocks have had plastic triggers for 20+ years and I've not heard of any problems with them.

Just thinking back, I can say that I have never once heard of a problem on a S&W or a glock or a Springfield that was traced back to a plastic trigger.

I'm not a big fan of the tupperware guns for a few reasons, but I will never run them down for not being built tough. I do trust their ability to stand up to a lot of use and abuse.
