One legged ducks

    This is my second one legged duck this year.whats doing this?turtles,gators?

    Someone skybusted and flared it straight into the decoys where it got tangled up in a spinner and lost the leg, if I had to guess:smack:

    I figure if it was shot off,it wouldve killed the duck.But I guess its possible.

    saw a one legged turkey hopping across the field last weekend. never seen a one legged duck though.

  13. i shot a gadwall with one leg a couple days ago aswell. we've killed them before, no idea what causes it tho

    I've killed a Mallard hen with 1 foot. The other might have just been deformed maybe? That was 15 years ago probably.

    I've shot a couple one legged ducks in years past. Shot one this year with half a bill

    Buddy shot this Blue Wing couple years ago, Lucky for him the "Turtle" got the Other Leg!!

    I saw a pic of a speckle belly that was the same way. Only one leg and it was banded.

    Maybe steel traps I've caught a few duck legs before.

    Norman Clifton and Earl Dukes used to trap Bayou Meto. When they started catching ducks in the traps they would start hunting those areas.
