I picked up a pretty nice looking T-bolt today, made in 1966 according to the serial#. It's the T2, with the longer barrel and the checkering. Any of you guys have any experience with these?
First gun I bought with my own money. Was a really good shooter for back in those days. Ended up pawning it mid 70’s when I was about to starve to death in college. Really nice looking rifle. Sure wish I had it today.

I finally mustered the courage to pull the stock off the action. To my huge relief, there is not so much as a speck of rust hidden by the stock, so it's a "no-salt" rifle! (Browning, late '60's: the original "A-Salt" rifle.)
Yes, my brother bought a deluxe grade ( which is what you have ) a York Arms in Memphis, TN. I think the
gun cost $ 77.95 and the standard grade was $ 57.95. It had an old Redfield 4 power scope with
weaver rings. It was a tack driver back in the day. I think it was bought around 1967 or 68. I use to shoot it a lot when my brother was in the Navy. It was stolen when he moved to Florida.
I have two of these, had a third but it was one of the salt stock rifles and just about rusted away. One has a scope, one the original peep sight. Both will shoot better than I can.
