okay guys I usually don't bash companies but I have just about had it trying to talk with someone at the nitro company regarding placing an order for turkey loads. I have attempted too many times to count this past week only to get a voice recorder and even emailed the company regarding placing an order. I have yet to speak with someone in person. Poor service if you ask me or too much buisiness to give a hoot. I am very frustrated. I still have a few of the nitro loads from last year and will shoot them up and probably look for another load. Has anyone else had this experience with them? I thought I was getting a jump on the rush for turkey season. I just had to vent.

I've always had great success with Ray. He's always been nothing but a gentleman and very prompt with me in the past. I know my dad has had similair results.

Maybe he is out of town. Maybe there was a medical emergency. Nitro is not really a company persay. More like Ray, his wife, and maybe an employee or two. So if something serious came up it wouldn't be out of the question that there just hasn't been anyone around this week.

I can understand your frustration, however, and hope it gets resolved sooned.

I have left a few messages even emailed him. the lady that responded back via email kinda sounded shocked and appologized but have yet to hear from her in person trying to solidify an order.

eldorado is quite a drive for some shells. any other place got em. hunters refuge don't carry em. Jims trading post had some last year but I don't know about this year. I will check with them.

yep got to talk with someone yesterday live. I was shocked only after one week of trying. I think the telephone order is definetely the way to order with them. glad to see you got yours on the way. My box is supposed to be shipped out today. they couldn't understand why I couldn't get thru to em. don't figure. I just hate answering machines thru buisiness. I am still old fashioned and like to talk with people directly instead of the phone machine.

When Mr. Gobbler answers your call and is coming in.
Just be patient, sit still, dont breath, dont blink, dont do anything!!!

Mr. Tom should come in close enough to kill with any good #6 shot load.
Any make of shell will do.

Heck, the best Turkey hunter I ever met used a .20 gauge!

You dont need expensive shells to kill a Turkey. You only need skill.

you just keep that thinking and leave more birds for me that way. I don't take many shots past 40 yards but I have had turkeys hang up at 60 yards in open fields and wouldn't shoot b/c I knew my pattern wasn't good that far. Now, I just shoot em dead. I have found my guns load that is lethal that far. Not trying to start a debate but to each his own.

When I bowhunt I spend 13.00 on a broadhead and 8-9.00 a shaft just to harvest a deer. when it boils down to it, the shell or arrow that you use is the smallest cost in hunting nowadays. Just my .02 cents:thumb:

Everything you say is true. Can't argue a bit of it.

I will say this, however, many of us really enjoy the shotgun aspect of the sport. We enjoy new shell and choke combos. We enjoy having the "best" available whatever that may be.

I promise not to knock you for using #6 copper plated at 20-25 yds. if you'll understand that there are a lot of us that like the idea of a killing 40-45 yd. shot.
