I built a new feeder out of some treated lumber i had around the house and put feed in it and the deer would not eat it. I left it out over a month, then i poured the feed on the ground and moved the feeder about 20 yards away and the deer started eating it.whats the deal, has anyone had this trbl before?:head:

Give it a few more weeks. My experience has been that it will take them 6 weeks or so before eating from a new feeder.

just give it time they will come to it, i have had the same happen to me before

Build it and they shall come......give em a little time though to get used to it you might sprinkle a pack of cool-aid over feed to coax them also strawberry, cherry, etc. :biggrin:

I have had a feeder out for three years and had one deer eat from it. Plenty of coons, hogs, squirrels and cardinals. Plenty of deer in the background eating from a food plot. I even pour corn out on the ground and they will eat wheat and oats with out eating the corn.
