you need to decide where you will be doing the majority of your shooting at and read the rules to find out what is allowed and what is not. some shoots/classes have a limit on speed of bows. find some one who wants to shoot the class you want and someone who shoots similar to yourself. how serious are you going to be? some are very serious and takes all before mentioned things and will sit for 20-30 minutes before they take a shot, and this is at every target. could take hours to get through course. and then you have some that are there just to be there and will walk up to the next target and look at it and shoot and will be on to the next in less than five minutes. and then you have all of the ones in between. some people just has a good set of optics, and a card showing the rings of specific targets, maybe carry some water, really not much more is actually needed than what is used in a backyard shoot. the more you take, the more it weighs on you, and fatigue can be hard on accuracy towards the end of course. it just all depends on the style that YOU want to shoot.
