Not asking for ur honey hole, i am having trouble finding tree rats, have a young dog looking for
a place in sw ar to hunt for a few squirrels tried three different wma with no luck thanks for looking
and any advice.

squirrels seem spotty this year depending upon the mast in a local area. I have a blue ton of squirrels along a creek, where a bunch of bur oaks had acorns and wild pecans had fruit, but then a half mile up, the woods are totally blighted and no squirrels at all on ridges. But in places around White Rock WMA, they are covered up with squirrels. I do not know about the report in your area, but I am sure they are spotty there too. Ask around and looking for mast and sign is about all you can do, BUT there are indeed lots of places where the woods are just flat out blighted this year.
