So now we see the results of the M77 and Mini 14 having too much to drink @ last years SHOT Show. You could always sense the sexual tension between those two......

    Thats awesome...

I was checking the Ruger site the other night and saw that rifle. Man its just aweome. I can't wait to put my hands on one and see how it feels. Right off the bat the only thing I would change on it is to make it fully stainless steel. I personally own a Ruger M77 Hawkeye All Weather in .308 and I love it! http://ruger.com/products/m77HawkeyeAllWeather/specSheets/7123.html

But my next rifle is gonna be a Ruger M77 Hawkeye Laminate Compact in .308, I held one at a local gunshop. Its lite enough that you can hold it up and on target for what seems like hours with no barrel wobble. http://ruger.com/products/m77HawkeyeLaminateCompact/specSheets/17110.html

Let us know who much you like that scout rifle when you get it. I may may to have one. lol

if i didnt already have my mind made up on this next 308 i'd def check that one out..... guess its time to check out some reviews.

correct me if i'm wrong but i though you didnt want to really go shorter than a 20" barrel on a 308??? wonder how much velocity you would lose with the 16" barrel??
