Wow!!!!

Tell us the story how you caught him. :thumb:
Not much too it. Got off work tuesday morning and decided to see if I could get a bite or two at the base fishing lake. Put on a 7.5 inch red shad culprit worm hit the lake. Caught 3 smaller fish before the bigg one hit.I was probably fishing for a total of about 20 minutes, Definitely the best fish of my life. I didnt think it was very big at first but when my drag started screaming I knew I had something good. Fought it for about 5 minutes before it made its first jump And when it did I was shaking so bad I'm not really sure how I got it to the bank. 27.5 inches long and 10.5 lbs.Should be hanging on the wall soon!
That's a good lookin set of duds ya got there, bro; Thanks for yer service, and thanks for the picture....got smiles from me all the way round!
Congratulations! I have bass fished all of my life and the biggest one I ever caught was 7.5 lbs and it came from Lake Bull Shoals.
I sure would be proud of one like yours. How much will it cost to get a mount? :thumb:
First fish I have had mounted so I wasnt sure in the price. Payed 300 Bucks! :censored:
That's a great bass. I would like to suggest a few things though. You might want to contact the base bioligist at CE (Mr Popham) and let him know about the bass. He likes to get photos of fish and game taken on base for briefings and that sort of thing. He has one of my photos in his hunting briefing.

While there is nothing wrong with having a bass mounted I would suggest a fiberglass replica next time. They are about the same price and unlike an original fish they will look better over time.

To get a replica made just measure leangth, and girth and take several photos and send to BPS. The fish could then be released to be caught again.

Duane
Already sent him pics. And i thought about doing the replica just didnt have a camera or anything to measure him with, and being the biggest fish i will probably ever catch, I decided to keep it.
Hey bud, don't, in any way, get to feeling like you shouldn't have kept that fish. Just think, this bass might have saved the lives of countless 7, 8 or9 pounders that you may have went through trying to get that elusive ten pounder! Now those little guys will be released since they just won't measure up to the one already on the wall!!:wink:
 Look at that minnow!!!

I agree with odocoi.
I have a couple of fish on the wall, and prefer the real over the replica. The only reason I have the replica is because of the fishing regs. Keeping the fish or releasing the fish is all a personal choice, and how is to say that fish would ever be caught again.

Pictures, measurements, and scales in the boat and a replica, isn't the real thing, but there is no better feeling than to watch it swim away to fight another day.

That is a hog though, I wonder what she would weigh full of eggs?

Congrats
Congrats! That's a heck of a buckethead.
I've got a 9.5lb bass that's been at the Taxidermist for probably 15-16 months now and I guess I'm gonna have to call and check on it.
He's got a reputation for being slow but this is rediculous.
