Didnt look like spoonies to me just now. There were more though
Just came through, and theres a FEW Dozen out there for sure!
About 20 years ago I kill over a boat load there one day was a man name nick.
Dont the Swaffers own all that?
Mitch, did y'all lease that?
NO!!!

Man, I wish! That field seems to always be loaded and when water is on both sides of the interstate they will hit that north side first everytime. I don't think I have ever seen anyone hunt that field. Kind of a rest area I guess.

I sometimes hunt Bell Slough and birds in the general area can only mean good things.

No, its a guy with the last name Hilliard who owns it now. I tried to lease from him it but he wasnt interested. He wants it available for customers and family members to hunt on. I saw a bunch of ducks this morning but I couldnt tell what kind, the field was partially frozen. I dont think there were quite 1000 today either.
About two hundred ducks in the south east corner on a front field, while driven on the hwy for now.
My dad leased it for two years when I was 15-16 years old. We hammered them some days and did t see a duck some days. Then a out of stater called and offered 5 times what we paid to lease it and we lost it. It's not worth the money he was paying but is a good place to hunt. Both sides are usually leased. The blinds are in the back on the camp Robinson side. They never hunt the front field.

Two years ago of the east field north end goin to work from conway some guy where huntin that tree line....only time i ever notice someone on that side
I know some people that hunt the field on the opposite side. They've been whacken them over there!
i leased and farmed the west side of the hwy about 10 years ago. We used to slaughter them when they where there.
I passed by yesterday as well, lots of big ducks. Guessed between 600-800. Still some this afternoon around 4:30, but not as many as yesterday.
Too bad they weren't on lake Conway the other day huh?
When we came back by this afternoon there was someone sneaking in by the hwy. and it look like someone had dump feed down at the south end of front field. If you ever seen duck feeding off dump feed. Not saying anyone did but there was 400+ piled up on there selfs if you glass them. And yes I have dump feed before. That could have mr green jean I seen.
