Planning on duck hunting on the ms river next couple days. Have been unable to reach AGFC because of the holidays.
Anyway was wondering if a non resident Arkansas license was valid for both sides of the river? Can I hunt the ms side of river or must I stay on Arkansas side? Also do you use the channel to divide the river or the follow the state line shown on maps that twists an turns through the oxbows?
Also how do you figure out the boundaries between private and public land? Where are you allowed to hunt especially with high waters like now?

Thanks for the help!

Between the levees both states are good. Not sure on the particulars on the rest tho. I believe as long as ur in ur boat and not on land u are ok. Where the water is in timber may be an issue tho. Most of the private land is posted along river and should have plenty of signs. There are some small lakes that are accesible by the river that are considered public such as paradise. In these areas if u step on the bank the clubs surrounding it will try to have u arrested for trespassing.

I haven't been to paradise in years. The last time I went I was crappie fishing. I had a friend who's dad managed ashbrook and we would put in there and go in. I would probly catch the devil even trying to find my way in now.

The levee to levee part was about license.
