Real pictures, but not recent. I saw those photos quite some time back.
Mississippi River near Vicksburg (deer herd)
Anyone seen the pictures floating around with the huge # of deer on the levee in Vicksburg?
I'll post a picture if it's not on another thread here.
Just wondering if the photos are completely accurate since the trees don't have leaves and one big buck still has it's antlers.

yeah I would think most all bucks have lost their horns by now!! Plus like you said about the leaves on the trees. Good pic though.
I was sent those same pics in an email about a month ago and the story said it was the levee near Caruthersville, MO.
I got it a few weeks ago, and it was said to be near Vicksburg...thought it was odd with the buck with horns too!!!
The pics I posted of deer on the levee..........IT'S GETTIN DEEP!!! thread.......are for real...took em myself 2 weeks ago, below Yancopin on the levee!!!!

I watched a small racked 6 or 8 point run does at the end of March in Hickman, Ky while fighting floods. I think it is very possible for smaller bucks to carry their racks well into April. My .02
